A Cat Speaks

A Cat Speaks

A Poem by Brooke Medling

I want you home, I miss you

I found a bird for me to chew

It's so fun: to tease the dogs

I finally get my afternoon jogs

I'm so lazy, I need a nap

I heard a leaf that I must tap

I don't have teachers, I don't have school

We cats make you look like a fool

I love to pounce. I love jump.

Sorry what happened near the pump

I know I'm fat

I'm just a cat!
