Sometimes, people don't even recognise when they're trapped, in danger or faced with an opportunity for potential freedom.
By contrast, the shark relies upon instinct; and different sensory capacities to ourselves.
And yet, "out of the water"; it would be helpless; flounder briefly and then die.

this short sharp jab strikes at the chest. a marvellous metaphor. most people are stuck in fishtanks wanting a better fish tank while ignoring the possibility of something immensely bigger. there is spirtuality in this verse. this idea of abandonig promotion and seeking liberation. really good stuff, and i will definitely read this again.
