Colleen

Colleen

A Poem by Colleen C Dunphy
"

for G and her girl, and all the Colleen's in the world. :o)

"

A Colleen is blue-green eyed, and auburn haired.

A Colleen is a porcelain skinned sprite that turns red at the idea of sun.

A Colleen is a meat and potatoes and a pass the mead, please kind of girl.

A Colleen is a fiery spirit with a hint of a dom inside.

A Colleen likes her control, thank you very much.

A Colleen loves her seasons, the soft spring rain, the colorful leaves of fall, the sweet snows of winter, and even the bright summer sun (with 50 spf of course).

A Colleen is an Irish Girl.

We Irish rule! All spitfire with a hint of a control freak.:) Spiritual, earthly creatures yet have the tendency to burn alive under the sun. I have become a baked potato more times than I can remember.:) Colleen is a cooler name than Kylie though. I think your name means "girl and queen", while mine means a "piece of land" or something like that. Quite boring.:) Awesome read and has me thinking about diving into my photo album.

I have never known a Colleen. I think I want to now, though.

I found this insightful and somewhat of a turn on. It's like say, "This is me, take me as I am." The dom part is probably what got me excited, but as a whole it was a good, down to earth piece.

Totally cute and full of energy. A fine ode' to one self and the spirit of the Irish.
I loved the part about the sunscreen! I know how that feels when the sun is beating down during the summer time.

Wonderful Write!
