Hold Myself Together

Hold Myself Together

A Poem by Khaotic Katastrophe

Do I have the strength to hold myself together?

At the dawn of day

I’m alone

Nothing holding me from letting go.

In the night

At the stroke of midnight,

Waiting.

Will I have the strength to hold myself together?

While you run, trying to find me.

Before it’s too late.

Can I hold myself together?

For me if no one else, give myself a second chance.

Start over.

Is it really that easy?

No, it never is.

Running through the pouring rain, not waiting any longer.

I’m gone, may never return.

Remember, I tried.

And so did you.

Remember, I’m the messed up one.

Remember, this is my life.

Remember, this is my broken lullaby

Nothing’s going to fix it now.
