The Break-Up Sonnet

The Break-Up Sonnet

A Poem by -!katie!-

many promises, forever in love.

the truth is impossible, as expected.

you are the storm that drowns me from above,

ruins everything, leaves me neglected.

tell me lies, cause me pain, tear me apart

limb by limb, for you know i'll love you still.

forgiving, nieve, and weak in the heart.

walk away when you have had your whole fill.

no longer in love, surpressed by fear.

i am free from the terrible restraints.

your reign has ended with a single tear.

goodbye sadness, crying, and complaints.

see you later, harsh words and awful lies.

in the end, it was merely your demise.

A nice knock down drag out sonnet... your words are bold and bruising to someone who seems to be a bully with love... nicely done.
