A Poem by BriAnna Wyble

~What happens when your smile begins to fade?

The lines of happiness turn into withering furrows of pain~

When you love profoundly~ the world around you,

But you are the castaway, always an outsider~

~Alone, feeling contemptible, and never enough.

What happens when your smile becomes your shield?

~When you beam brightly~ your core spark is waning~

You breathe & you live but aren’t truly feeling alive.

This life is full of bountiful beauty~ This you can feel~

Through the opaqueness of your mind, Joy seems out of reach.

The many faces you show, a façade that is not real.

With an enlightened heart ~You carry the insight & truth to teach.

Until the end,

You always smile with grace

With heartache and love,

A smile plays athwart your face ~
