For My Son

For My Son

A Poem by BriAnna Wyble
"

written for his second birthday

"

My pride& my joy~ you are now the zealous age of two~

~I see such wonderment held within your clever cerulean eyes,

My beloved ~handsome child, I am so proud of all you are able to do.

You can run effortlessly quick~ and leap with unreserved delight,

I am astounded by your nimbleness and quick steady feet.

Your jubilant laughter is comprised with new marvels of your life;

You are the quintessence of utter joy to all the people you meet.

You can speak & understand so much of the world around you,

I marvel at the abundance of knowledge you already retain;

You sing along with mommy to all your favorite tunes.

Since your birth, my life is splendorous & will never been the same.

My darling~ sunshine; evermore my precious baby boy,

I pen you these tender odes so that you will always know

That you are my whole world~ dear son, truly my pride & joy~

You are mommy’s blessing~ it is incredible to watch you grow.

The love that you have for him is palpable. This tribute to him speaks volumes of the type of mother that you are. Each line is another testimony to your adoration. Thank you very much for sharing this. It put a much needed smile on my face.
