Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by BeautifulDisaster

Hiding in the tall grass, waiting for that perfect moment.
I can see your mouth drizzle from the powerful scent of your prey.
You start getting impatient from the pain of hunger inside you.
You crouch down lower in the grass because your prey is now suspicious.
Your gold fur and black spots keeps you camoflauged so you blend in.
You start digging your razor sharp claws in the ground.
I see the fire in your eyes as you leap towards the innocent creature ahead of you.
The wind catches your golden body as you chase the black and white beast.
I see the relief you release from your eyes as you fulfill your hunger.
Staying alive is a struggle for you everyday.
