Atlantis.

Atlantis.

A Poem by Britt Foster

She took me to Atlantis
every
single
night.
Somehow we were there,
breathing water
before even a thought crossed
to remember the air.
Our souls swam
in our timeless creation,
playing music
from the light-beams
that were strewn amongst the algae,
drawing pictures from the tide,
and dancing
upon stages of coral,
and kelp,
and anemone.
From whence we came
I still remember not, but
perhaps
it was her eyes:
they were
so
very
blue.
