RaindanceA Poem by brittdav06Sometimes you got to just let go.The wind howls through my aching soul. The rain starts its drumming sound. The blackest night, I can see no more. My inhibitions spiral down.
The thunder booms with such demand. The lightening strikes its chords. The music starts to fill me up, I realize what I've come for.
The trees grab as I dance round, in the midst of their fight. Through the blinding rain I see again the essence of the light.
The river's overflowed its banks. It'd be easy to wade in... Let go of life, it just seems right, is the message this storm sends.
I am drenched of all my sins, yet I can care no more. The rain is here to wash them away. My exuberance starts to soar.
The thunder has quieted down. The lightening has all but gone. The rain is slowly giving up, for this battle I have won.
Victoriously, I dance through the trees! This song is coming to an end. And I salute this storm's brute, for we will battle again.
