i never met you

The way the night falls over my skin,
consumes my mind and brings me with in.
the blanket of black, brings peace.
the silence of the dark is what makes me insane.
but to change the way i feel is something only i know.

the nothingness of it all will forever endure.
i could sit on the street, to watch no cars go by,
to watch only the stars so slightly move inch by inch.
i feel the world move with me.
i lay, hands tangled in the grass.
if i let go, i'll fall straight into you.

this new season has brought a dimmer but more powerful light,
the air may be cold but it fills my lungs one side at a time.
it's the lovers season, full of warmth and close encounters,
i'll find this, in the security of knowing i wasn't tied to you after all.
i'll find this in the realization of the true meaning of adoration,
the true meaning of really looking and seeing someone,
to look and to actually see is a gift rarely placed in the human eye.

i know the moon, he watches over me.
follows me with those sorrow filled eyes.
he tells me he knows the pain of loosing a love you never had.
the pain of nothing and everything is one most cannot place.
but to have it implanted is something ive become comfortable with
