Heavy

Heavy

A Poem by isawyouinthewild

Into the darkening months,
my mind turns to the shades of the moon. she is for me and I for her,
with her grasps on my throat, I write to her in words unknown.
she had no recollection of her past
but she feels the pain of lives once lived.

Hearts beating,
Every pulse feels calloused.
through my shirt I see the talons,
Of a creature of the night,
asking me why it is I breathe.

I didn't know this, but
I had too many answers for him.
