adrift

A Poem by isawyouinthewild

Absent.
adrift in my head
i can spend a lot of time being nothing.
watching the sky turn black
the rain has fallen and gone, long ago.

where have i been?
lost in my head
searching
for answers i thought i knew
when it never really was the truth

A very relatable piece. I love the feeling of simply being nowhere yet somewhere inside the head, like the zen of zoning out. In my family, we call it Mental Borkulation... Where your mind is wandering around thinking about nothing and going nowhere, but still in motion.

I love the last line of this piece for to me it sums up the reality of inner reflection... we can never find the truth, if the truth had not already been found.

Great Ink! Thanks for sharing!
