i have come to the borders of sleep

i have come to the borders of sleep

A Poem by brigid

I have come to the borders of sleep

with no passport

to enter,

and no visa

to stay.

it has become unfamiliar territory.

a strange land

that sees me as a stranger,

with no welcoming party

to greet

or meet.

elusive,

exclusive,.

hostile landscape.

inaccessible,

unless the chemicals flow

through the cracks

in the walls

and infiltrate

the weary,

would be,

traveller

at last.

Love this one and can identify with it too, I am a bit of an insomniac.
