To Want Nothing More

To Want Nothing More

A Poem by Bright Eyes

I want nothing more than to hold your hand
I want nothing more but for you to understand
I want nothing more but for you to hold me
I want nothing more but what you told me

I want nothing more than to just be free
I want nothing more but for you to see
I want nothing more but for it to go away
I want nothing more but my pain to be at bay

I want nothing more but for you to hold
I want nothing more but to get rid of the cold
I want nothing more but to come rest upon your breast
Because, deep down, I am depressed.  So enclose me in your tightest grip, and don't let me go.  Do not let me by myself, for I will be lonely.  Do not let go, for I will disappear.
I will disappear.

Most of you aren't going to like this. http://committeesofcorrespondence.wordpress.com/ I love Shakespeare, especially his sonnets. My favorite is Sonnet 18: Shall I compare thee to a summer.. more..
