Ventriloquist

Ventriloquist

A Poem by Bright Eyes

Ventriloquist.
The ventriloquist controls me
He talks for me
He decides for me

Ventriloquist.
Nullifying my importance
He moves me
He moves me with strings

Ventriloquist.
Hampering my ability
I cannot think
I cannot dream

Ventriloquist.
It controls me.
He talks for me.
He decides for me.

Ventriloquist.
I cannot take this anymore
I want to destroy this awful
Ventriloquist.

I cannot destroy this awful controlling force
The ventriloquist
Go away, you abaseful
Ventriloquist

Now this was special!

I like the way you start it out. how the Ventriloquist does all, make you feel. Many impressions come forth with those words. Like no life of your own, how you depend on it, yet hate it all the same.. Controlling is a hard thing to live with, be part of.. You sent this forth with the greatest of wisdom..

Very good. I like the part that says he talks for me, he decides for me. Sounds like you have had someone controlling your life for a very long time. The poem definitly speaks of having no control over your life and someone else is controlling it. Nicely done. Good job!
