For our Last GoodbyeA Poem by Brigg AriesGoing on separate ways, hoping we'll still meet again somedayOur roads were once adjoined By fate, the term they coined Looking far across the sea That afternoon I spent with thee Looking back that night I remember That blue silk scarf with a Japanese character The same night I saw in your eyes A star devoured by the dark grey skies That night, yes that very night I knew I’ll stay by your side Those eyes, yes those very eyes Made me believe that it’s worth every try I never thought it would be this near The bend in the road I can see it clear I must’ve known ahead of time That not all path take the same line Our journey has come to a splitting end And we then should take a separate bend Grateful for the time we spent Happy to love you till this end. Note this will be my last goodbye For time’s uncertain and freely fly Yet when two roads meet once more I’ll hold it close to stay forevermore © 2019 Brigg Aries |
