That PlaceA Poem by Brigg AriesThis is for anyone who misses their home.
I woke up in the morning
no view of the sun shinning no warmth is felt in my room but I see myself dwelling in gloom I thought of the place where i used to be so far away from this high sea The place where lived the memories of my own the place in which I call home There's when I wake up in the morning I can see the sun brightly shinning at the window are beams of light touching the floor with heaven's bright A place where warm winds blow carries the sound of the river's flow with the smell of the new morn hay towed by oxen across the valley A place where life is old the place where I was mold the place where my life began and where I want to stay when it's done The place where everything seems right the place where I dream of every night Yet I wake up with this reality That I'm still on my voyage across the sea Now living the decisions I once made and hurdling the path of my fate still I believe in the end, a day would come When I'll come back to my beloved home. © 2017 Brigg Aries |
