The Radio GirlA Poem by JoeShe speaks so sweet
Across all the frequencies And I know where this will go A simple walk on clumsy feet She's such a mysterious girl Keeps to herself, pays no mind to the world It's as if she knows that they don't matter Or maybe she's afraid fear will come on a silver platter Whatever the case may be I'm here for her in her time of need And at any cost, I'm wiling to pay She means too much to let her fade away I'm keeping my fingers crossed That this connection now is never lost Don't tune to a different station Because I won't find the one song she played, yeah Oh, she's a radio girl Locks away all this world Oh, she's a radio girl And I know she's the one for sure Turn up the volume Break down the walls of this room Let the speakers explode I'll put out the fire, no one will ever know She speaks so sweet Across all the frequencies All the airwaves play the same music But the radio girl, she knows she can do it She'll play all the songs that I want to hear Just to pull me in close, I hope she won't disappear All the songs that I want to hear The radio girl plays 'em when I'm near Turn up the volume Break down the walls of this room Let the speakers explode I'll put out the fire, no one will ever know Whatever the case may be I'm here for her in her time of need And at any cost, I'm wiling to pay She means to much to let her fade away Oh...she's the radio girl The epitome of happiness in this ruined world She speaks so sweet Across all the frequencies And I know where this will go... © 2010 Joe |
