Heaven or Hell

Heaven or Hell

A Poem by Joe

Watch it spread like wildfire
Like some epidemic on the rise
It's everywhere that I look
It's written about in all the books
It's love

Hearts melt and hearts mend
They think they know what love really is
But it's too early to tell
Is this heaven or is this hell

The color is red as the blood that rises
The sounds of an angel and those bright blue eyes, yeah
They always get the best of guys
And the others sit back and wonder why

Well, boys think of one thing
And it's so stupid
Why can't we be gentleman
Instead of working for Cupid

And girls worry all the time
Just be yourself, it'll be just fine
Take off all that mascara and eyeliner
Let's see you for who you are
Fade into the night and...slip into the shadows

Love rules the late night scene
And gamblers love, love the greed
It's a mystery how love's not history
Because sometimes all we do is yell and hate
Why can't things always be okay...

Hearts melt and hearts mend
They think they know what love really is
But it's too early to tell
Is this heaven or is this hell

Heaven or hell
