Doubt at the Heart of a Monster

Doubt at the Heart of a Monster

A Poem by Joe

If the mushroom cloud were to expand
Would you stil want to hold her hand
If the sky crashed all around this world
Would you still want to save the girl

You have your doubts but she won't know
She can't live without the thought of you
Her love never waivers
But your's is falling apart and you need a savior

It's a shame to let your love run
You play your games and she has her fun
I can't watch this anymore
Just let her go and say no more

Were you ever sure about her
Did you know what you were doing
Why would you want to live with out her
When your heart is her home

Why would you say yes if you would let her go
She dances 'round in her dress
While the rain and wind blows
How could you be so blind
She always says it feels right

If the mushroom cloud were to expand
Would you stil want to hold her hand
If the sky crashed all around this world
Would you still want to save the girl

Sorry but this can't go on
I'm leaving now
So far gone
