Checkmate

Checkmate

A Poem by Joe

Write me some words to say how you feel
Or say them out loud to make an appeal
Tell me things will work out in time
Tell me you're wrong and tell me I'm right

When the people crowd round me
I just don't feel like I'm that worthy
You stand on the outside looking in
I try my hardest just not to sin

So I'm imperfect to people
So I make mistakes
But then again don't we all
Then again we can't always catch those who fall

This is it unless you say otherwise
This chance for romance is going to die
If you do not make your move
Don't expect me to act because battles of choosing are battles I lose

About
I absolutely love writing and have been writing for a few years now. I'm only 16, so most of my poetry is about the happenings of my teenage years. I write about hopeful romances and occasional heartb.. more..
