Home Sweet HomeA Poem by JoeFor those days when you feel like the only thing keeping you company is your own emotions
Do you see the look on my face
When you're running round in circles And it becomes a chase I really don't want to care But you are always standing there Your hair falls over you eye now And I want to scream out loud Scream that I love you Scream that I miss you Scream that I don't want to be without you My heart beats faster and faster As I tend to court all disaster Walking through the memories Down the lane and broken streets And there you are Waiting by your car And you smile your cute little grin That is a band-aid to my wounds within So help me to see that you're not my enemy You're my friend and I can't pretend Pretend that you're not... Home sweet home when I'm all alone I just talk to you forever and ever Home sweet home when you're all alone Is a place I'd rather be My heart beats faster and faster As I tend to court all disaster Walking through the memories Down the lane and broken streets No place I would rather be.... © 2010 Joe |
