Life Goes On

Life Goes On

A Poem by Joe

Though you and I went our separate ways
Life goes on for days
Even though we see each other in the halls
The pain still remains and I stumble and fall

We were so happy
Until I decided I felt crappy
I just didn't feel the same
I just was not feeling the happiness again

Nothing was ever meant to be
I think you think I'm your enemy
But darling, I'm you're friend
I'll be around until the end

If you wish to talk I will listen

I will be lost in your eyes because they glisten
