Solitude (I Thought It Would Be Peaceful...Boy Was I Wrong)

Solitude (I Thought It Would Be Peaceful...Boy Was I Wrong)

A Poem by Joe
"

As the darkness consumes me, I don't know if I should pray or am I already gone?

"
Broken memoirs can't fly that far
Because these wings are now fading
And my thoughts wander as i ponder
The process known as dreaming

Am I lost here and now
As I try to scream out loud
But my words can't find their way
Choked back by hesitation today

I can't understand the demand for the truth
Was I wrong all along, to think I needed proof

Ocean in orbit as I lie awake
Breathing heavily and I cannot fake
The fact that I care
Gives me quite a scare

This is such a powerful glimpse.. dark, deep reflections so vividly written. I can sense the anxiety and pain sweeping over.. Amazing work.
