Harsh Farewell (See You In Hell)

Harsh Farewell (See You In Hell)

A Poem by Joe
"

I know this sounds rude, but it was the only way to forget how much she meant to me...

"
The most perfect wrong lies within the most unsung song
And the worst right lies within the darkest light
So I say what I mean and I mean what I say
But where is the darkness during the day

In the recesses of my mind there are thoughts that I prefer to leave behind
And in on the tip of my tongue are words that no one person should ever have to taste
Quite a bittersweet feeling comes with heartfelt healing
Why do I feel like the hole in my heart is still torn apart

I thought that you were supposed to care
But boy I was wrong when I followed along
With the clever facade that you wore so well
And I must admit that it hurt when I fell...

Fell hard to the ground with a feeling of pain
Fell hard to the ground, I blacked out in the rain
And these stitches and bandages do not suffice
Because after the war there will always be a price...

A price to be paid for the damage you've done
And a blame to claim for the battle not won
And here in this life so conflicting
People are often wrongly convicted

One should not be alone without cause
One should not have to even applaud
The simple act of ever caring
And one should not be so cruel, I would never dare, yeah...

I wear a polite smile as though everything's fine
But you claw at the walls in the back of my mind
You're still there when I wish you to go away
You're still there when I have nothing to say

Would you leave me alone
Would you just go home
I don't want to see you again
I won't throw you a bone
I don't care about you or what you do
As long as you're out of sight, you'll be out of mind
