Aimless Accuracy

Aimless Accuracy

A Poem by Joe
"

So where is the yellow brick road...?

"
The moonlight shadow breaks through the midnight clearing
And I see the light, the illuminating light
That for so many nights, I'd been fearing

And now my troubles are no more
I push my worries out the door
The silence of the screaming crowd
Is buried deep, I hear no sound

Isolated and unappreciated
So alone...There's no voice on the other end of the telephone
I wasted my money in an old phone booth
Calling out to the Earth, looking for the truth

No money in my wallet
I'm broke and abandoned, or whatever you'd call it

Wandering these roads
Where they go, no one knows
Maybe to some far off town
Where the sorrow of tomorrow is forever drowned

Silence...No Violence...Silence

I feel like calling out to someone at times but retract in wanting silence. Generally I stand up most friends because I can't stand social situations. The man you write about is interesting, this poem is interesting. My favorite lines are: "So alone...There's no voice on the other end of the telephone
I wasted my money in an old phone booth
Calling out to the Earth, looking for the truth
No money in my wallet
I'm broke and abandoned, or whatever you'd call it" Maybe you should look at my poem on money vs. education? Anyways, it is written well. :
