Loss of a Temporary Gain (Lines and Lies)A Poem by JoeI try to remember the good times...
The footprints have been erased
I can no longer trace The origin of the lies Or the fading lines I don't know anymore I'd rather fall asleep on the floor What are dreams for if they defy the truth I waste my time wondering in my youth My future is at stake Thinking of memories before they break...like a glass mirror Wishing the memories would last Long enough that I hold on fast To everything I hold dear I'd like to keep the good times quite near I have some words on the tip of my tongue But they only seem to want to run So with that being said I will be done with this poem and think more in my head... © 2010 Joe |
