A Desert Rose

A Desert Rose

A Poem by Warrrior Poet
"

For everyone who lost someone close...

"

Finding a place away from it all,

that this night is only a dream.

To place a desert rose within my grip.

Could I not hold it with a tighter grasp?

My blood flows off the sharpen thorns,

for I could not save it from my life.

Drip! Drip! The blood falls from my finger tips,

and crashes down to the earth beside my feet.

Saving hope from amongst the lost

with a desert rose red with blood.

Hiding within this dream

as the night turns to day.

To imagen a desert rose

along side my cold hand.

A final sent that is held within

spreads like a plague throughout my sinces.

To give in to this weakness i now hold.

I release this desert rose from my hold.

Down, down, to the earth below.

From my hand covered with blood.

That i could not save

a desert rose within my grip.
