New England’s MelodyA Poem by Brian M. PeeplesThe sky breathes a fresh morning air as the Sun’s warmth hugs all yet again. And the trees shall regain their plentiful hue as the plants and animals may find no end to their wonderful lives here in New England. Born here, and raised, I find a wonderful love for this land and everything that is in it. Though, I know that it may not forever last, as nothing seems to in this world, and in life. Contrary to the everlasting love of two turtle doves. I find its beauty to be refreshing year-round, whilst I watch the frozen rain droplets dancing their way down to kiss her, the softly-spoken snow-covered ground. Gathered here with family all ‘round. We sit by the fire that keeps us all warm, high in the sky as we watch her slowly burn, though not today as the clouds are overhead, which keeps us all sound asleep and in our beds. Until the days where the snow may melt, and all the many flowers shall bloom yet again. Another season gone, and another on the way, where the lonely snow turns to a friendlier rain. It seems bright, and quite comfortable, I must say. A life in New England seems to be the ideal way. Though it does have its ups and downs and all arounds, there has never been a time where I’ve wanted to leave, just as they, too, fall from their homes by the Autumn breeze. The leaves, you see, are simply human"like you and me. All things aside, I must contemplate the beauty of it, to stare into nature’s finest creation; the heart, just as I must live my life as the leaves had once done, to journey onto a new horizon and find her, the Sun and her warmth, the moon and his light. And this, I say, I may just cry by its beautiful serenity, a peaceful place to call home, to call my own. There’s nothing like it, like New England’s fresh air. The air I’ve felt my entire life; a beautiful breeze, played like a symphony, that is, New England’s Melody. © 2016 Brian M. PeeplesReviews
