My Undying Art

My Undying Art

A Poem by Brian M. Peeples

The stars in the sky

fall towards the milky

way twilight,

as bright as ever,

whilst we wait in line,

that will lead us into

forever,

and I may kiss you,

and hold your hand

until the Sun rises

and the Moon collides

with the desert sands,

where each grain

may give way

to the moments of my heart,

as you are there

upon twilight’s shore,

forever more.

And that is my

undying art...

This is so beautiful, and it caught my full attention the second I read the first line. The way you compared the universe to describe the way you feel was so captivating and romantic. Great piece all around, really hit home for me.

I love any Mystery to the stars of the heavens and the moon about when talking about love and how worldly things can be described as art in words like a painting. This is so deep and a beautiful painting here.

All of the universal references are very romantic. Not sure why, but it makes me think of this song: http://youtu.be/pWxJEIz7sSA

I absolutely love that song! Thank you for sharing, and reviewing!
So beautiful. I love how you used nature and inanimate things to describe your feelings. Sometimes that can come out as repetitive and cheesy, but you made it work to your advantage. "And that is my undying art" beautifully plays to the undying moon and sun, and that's really creative and smart. Nice work :)

Thank for you the review! I appreciate it.
Gentle and beautiful words for love.
"and I may kiss you,
and hold your hand
until the Sun rises
and the Moon collides
with the desert sands,"
Holding hands and sweet kisses. Things we do not forget. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
