A failed love can invoke all the physical traits listed (cold, alone, empty, lost); in fact one could make that list a mile long. Sometimes the love that was so hard to find is also so easy to lose. Nicely written, Brian. take care...dan
The tortured artists soul penned here in all its troubled finery - it doesnt seek fame or fortune but to make a difference to fellow man by bringing light from the ethereal realm. And without a muse how is that to happen?
I think this is powerful and passionate poetry Brian. Good job my friend.
A sad journey in the poem and you left questions for the reader.
"And into
the nether, I go.
As I am truly lost
without you,
you may never
know."
Life shall test us. The ending is rarely known. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

the wonderings of a poet...it is a harsh world out there for them, so many so few get noticed in reality. The sad part is there are so many that are sooo good. That pour their souls out onto the page ink remembrances and the like. You have touched me with your poem, words from the heart to touch who...a few..but the one that you want to touch who knows they may be lost to.
She may never know...and there is the beauty in your words. That someone would be able to write a simple thought of some one and not need to pass it on to them, just let it be out there in the universe for them.
I am a twenty-three year old writer & poet. My passion for writing comes from all over. I love to write, and I love to inspire others. Hopefully when I'm gone one day, I'll leave behind all my writin.. more..
