Feeling Alone

She’d shown us the way,

and all we had done

was laugh in her face,

mocking the strangeness

of this magnificent place,

that she’d once called home.

And now, I feel alone.

In the briefest of words, I attempted to paint a scene of conflict between Mother Earth and Humankind.
