A Sea Of Dreams

Dark storms on a sunny day,

bring forth a common rain,

as light and dark

shall work together,

once in sync, they too,

shall swim forever

in a sea of dreams,

an ocean of sweet,

sweet memories;

seeking to understand

their role in the world

and its forsaken society

On a clear warm day,

a lonely raindrop

makes his way to war

with his many allies

showering the land,

with their precious lives

So that we may grow, prosper;

flourish from a seed

into an alluring flower

and to continue this cycle

for the sake of all life,

we bloom all the while

And I cry, I cry, I cry

for those valiant souls,

who’ve lost their lives

so that we may yet live,

though I have not a thing to give

but only an undying memory

And I say, I say, I say

that they shall never

again be lost...

in a sea of dreams

Comparing raindrops to warriors? At first I thought that was a bit too much of a stretch. But as I read further and you made other allusions to war the comparison morphed and crystalized in my thick head and it suddenly made sense. That sea of dreams will always be there, one should always know how to get there. take care...dan
