If Only She Knew

It's been a while since I posted anything, so I hope you enjoy this piece of writing.

If only she knew,

just how much I cared

and how greatly I loved her,

how often I was scared…

to meet her,

eye to eye,

and to watch her,

live out her life…

from afar,

so far away,

and into the depths

of endless space

I loved her, oh

if only she knew,

maybe then,

just perhaps…

she might find

it in her heart

to love me,

too...

Brian, Every time I read a piece like this I yell, "You gotta tell her!" But then I think back when those shoes were mine and how the words choked me up deep in my throat and soul...words screamed yet not making a sound.
