Beneath The Sun, Stars, And Moon

I’ve met the sky,

and the sea,

where both collide

way beneath

the sun,

and the stars,

and the glowing moon…

...and I have to say,

is it too soon,

wherever you are,

to tell you,

that I want to meet

you too?

Brian, As the first stanza sees the big picture, with all its natural beauty and marvel, so the second stanza boils it down to a plaintive wish, an anxious question about innocence and the possibilities contained within. The difference between the two different stanzas are what gives this piece its lift, the hope of a natural infinity and the promise of something so deliciously specific.
