I am alone,

no matter how hard

I try,

as I give myself

to you,

you take my soul

and burn it,

bury it deep

beneath the surface

under all the lies

all of your deceit,

I can no longer trust you,

not anymore

because, all of my wounds

are still so, so very sore,

It may take some time

but I still have hope...

no, I’ve lost that too,

simply,

because of you…
