On Yet Another Day

On Yet Another Day

A Poem by Brian M. Peeples

Never to see the light,

Below the shattered surface

And into the cavernous abyss

I shy myself into thinking

That things may better themselves

But come to find out, we live in a reality

Not a dream, nor a nightmare,

But something far worse, far more evil

And what thought to be gone, may not

On a dangerous night, never to rot

Away from the death and decay

May you find comfort, should you stay

And rally the skeletons, on yet another day
