A breakup poem

You're red and I'm blue
You're the sun and in the moon
You said you loved me and I said I love you
And even tho we know it's true
I have to face the fact that I can never have you

When we first got together everything was fine
I was yours and you were mine
And I knew I loved you because we had that spark
But lately all we've seem is dark

I wish we could go back to the way we used to be
When I loved you and you loved me
I remember how we would talk for hours
But now we are like a crumbling tower

All I can say is I want the best for you
Even if that means I can't have you
At a time you were my world, my moon, and my sun
Now all I can say is that I'm done

At least you and I gave it a try
But sadly it's time to say bye
I'll never forget the way you once looked at me
And I hope that one day together we will be
