Time is against us

Time is against us

A Poem by Indescribed

The clock ticks to the last minute of the hour,

It clicks on top of the bell tower.

The time is against us,

Sometimes we don't succeed with trust.

We make excuses about life,

Like someone's stabbing us with a knife.

We find a way to get around,

Sometimes we live in a gated impound.

We forget some people,

Get to the point, like a church steeple.

Please forget me not,

I'm not a girl that can be bought.

The time is against us,

We don't all achieve trust.

The clock clicks on top of the bell tower,

The clock ticks to the last minute of our last hour.

Enjoyed the flow of your poem. It left me wanting more in terms of what exactly time is against. There was no feeling of being rushed or wanting time to stand still.
