The Epitome of Manipulation

The Epitome of Manipulation

A Poem by Brian
"

What happens when people try and manipulate others

"

Based on a true story…

Feeling all of this pain that I have no choice but to take

For what but I don’t know this b***h has crossed the line

Brought on for no reason and yet I’m forced into this plight

You force me to my knees, overwhelm me so I cannot fight

No matter how hard I try I fail to hide my anger away

Injustice at hand from a cynical puppet master who is at large

Strings of manipulation are wrapped tight around my neck

Choking the life out of me turning my life to black as I hit the ground

Nothing left to give so what more do you want from me

Push me too far and you’re going to see what drives me so

You think I am simple and weak and yet you will see

That I am your worst enemy

Manipulation, contradiction, mass rebellion!

Self satisfaction, manic corruption, total damnation!

The dawn of a new day arises brought on by the wars of previous black

A day unlike yesterday and as uncertain as tomorrow

On this day I lay my claim you will not control me any more

It’s time that I break away from these ties that bond me so

Here I stand alone.
