A real sappy oneA Poem by Brian LWe feel it, I believe it the first whisper of love. The tension in the temporal air at once magical, ethereal her hair is down for me, but the walls I paint won't crumble. Say what you will, I've known nothing that ain't struggle She turns away, feigns indifference, even in death she is my deliverance, not knowing that beyond the cold, irreparable surface, there is a land that is old school, full of purpose... A land of deep green pines, rivers that glitter like uncut diamonds beneath warm, soft sands as I say to her woman, just take my hand and someday you will understand © 2020 Brian L |
