The Truth

The Truth

A Poem by The Tao of Bri
"

My journey to acceptance

"

The Truth

"One step closer to my acceptance"

I wish I could live in that fantasy…

The one where you loved me…

We are both realists though….

You

really

I really Love You A lot.

Some

One

Else

And

Not

Me.

So I cannot be a safe stand in or pretend that I could have my most fervent wish…

God help me, I wish I could, as even that world is better...

 To God

and

your Son souly...

can I be

a

second...

…If only my soul did not crack so

Leaving that perfect world of make believe…

If only there were a sliver of a chance…

But we both know that our shards must be meant to only

Reflect each other’s light for a path

We walk together~

Alone…..

The BEst of Friends…

A somber feel to this write, seems to express a depth of longing that is very touching and very Truthful. It is difficult to be One with someone else - most always feel alone at the same time...great expression here. I very much like the layout of the piece as well. Thank you for sharing.

i really enjoyed this writing, loved the concept, and the fantasy scope of vision, sthe form itself reminds
me of the sword in the stone, the somber expression is effective and touching in way of surrendering
the heart, the messege is timless and opens the readers heart to planes of knowledge, depthfully
charged, entwining the inspiration of dreams with cold, stark reality, in way of existance, expressed
with a sense of soul, peacefully conveyed, the imagery seems alive and vivid, beautifully done.

Loving someone who loves another. You end the poem with a sense of hope because you call each other best friends, walking alone but together.

Unrequited love and what a miserable thing it is to love someone who loves someone else.

These lines were particularly both beautiful and poignantly honest -

"If only my soul did not crack so
Leaving that perfect world of make believe
If only there were a sliver of a chance
But we both know that our shards must be meant to only
Reflect each other's light for a path
We walk together~
Alone.."

There is a sense of melancholy throughout this poem, but at the end there is acceptance of the facts of the situation and perhaps hopefully peace. I like that. Well done.

Wow, this has so much more depth to it. It resounds in your soul after you read it. Aknowledging the reality while also the deep longings of the heart.
Wonderful write.

Deep feelings underlie this concretely formed writing. Cleverly laid out to convey your meaning or meanings.
Some times love cannot be fulfilled because of circumstances we cannot control. How wise to be able to remain God Friends

I thought you were speaking of religion in this poem...of a spirituality in the universe. Have to say the shape of your poem led me to that conclusion almost more than the words did. The emotions expressed here are powerful. Lydia
