reflections from personal experience. When all things seem against us it can seem as though God isn't there or doesn't listen. HE DOESS.

Is God not there?        by B.Dodd

Is God not there when needed? Is He?

Is He too dull , too tired , too busy?

Does He text us and smile benignly

As He sits upon His throne ?

Or wave at us and simply  say,

‘And now   you’re on your own’ ?

Would we rather have an email

To read  what’s  on His mind?

‘Sorry I cant speak today

All my angels have resigned !’

If I ask God to help me

‘Coz I Don’t have a clue

Do I download some Bible apps

To tell me what to do?

Does God just keeping me guessing

When He has something to say?

Because He is  in heaven

Does He live too far away?

Does He really listen

When we come before Him kneeling ?

Is there not much He can do for us?

Untouched , unmoved, unfeeling ?

Does He make a promise

That He knows He’ll never keep?

Does He say ‘ I cannot hear you’

Because He’s fast asleep?

NO! God puts His arms around us

With His presence draws us near.

He speaks to us directly

His voice both loud and clear.

I was lost in my faith but I have recently had it restored, due to some personal experiences of my own. Very touching poem of religion and faith something we must write and speak of more. He works in mysterious ways always.
