Antonyms of Life

Antonyms of Life

A Poem by writingforfun
"

Reflections on the antonyms and anomalies of life loosely based on Jesus words 'What does it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?'

"

Antonyms  of  Life.

I discard daydreaming

I collect my thoughts.

I drop stupid ideas

I lift my spirit.

I empty my mind of clutter

I fill my mind with peace.

I leave all that is behind me

I look forward to what's ahead.

I'm deaf to criticism

I hear fair-mindedness.

I'm closed to dishonesty

I'm open to truth.

I shun bad company

I welcome friendships.

I refuse to be discouraged

I accept life isn't perfect.

I hate what is evil

I love what is good.

I fall in love

I rise to greater heights

I walk in humility

I run triumphantly.

I lose my life

I gain eternity.
