Lego Man

Fun rhyme for children & family ( can be read on a few levels) about a child who starts building people who then mysteriously add their own !

Lego man

 

Sally built a lego man

She built it brick by brick

At first it was quite difficult

But soon she learned the trick.

 

The lego man grew taller

It took her quite a while

But slowly slowly , piece by piece

She  finished it in style.

 

When friends heard all about it,

And found out what she’d done,

They all came round to see it

And thought it was great fun.

 

With tiny blue bricks for the eyes

And a long red one for   nose

It had a very funny look

From every colour she chose !

 

But  legoman  looked lonely

Standing  there on his own

And  she built a lego lady

So  he wouldn’t be alone.

 

 She named the man Mathias

The lady she called Heather

And built a lego house for them

So they could live together.

 

The next time that she saw them

She couldn’t believe her eyes

There was lego junior

Built to half their size!!

great idea...you do lose the rhythm a little, so may need tightening up as KIds poetry should roll off the tongue in perfect time....Still liked it though...I SELL Mine

Thank you for encouraging review. Could I ask... if a poem is published on a site like this can it still be put forward for selling or completions? Also how does someone sell poems etc.? It can't be easy. Brian

It can cause problems if a poem is up on a social website...I self publish mine...I write and illustrate picture books for kids and have them for sale on Amazon....Still a small fish in a vast ocean though...I have self published 3 poetry booklets containing humorous verses...sell them by post or at any venue that i might be asked to perform poetry at....NO real money made but folk get a laugh...Getting publishers to be interested in poetry is nigh on impossible unless of course you happen to be a celebrity...To see the sort of nonsense I get up to..paste this into your address bar... amazon.com/author/wooddavidchildrensbooks
