The Fight Best Unfought

The Fight Best Unfought

A Poem by SlightlyMusical

You want me to wage war
But nothing is worth fighting for
You want me to raise the pen and the sword
But it's what we don't do, that means more

So next time you send me to war
Know that I'm not returning home
My memories will be to your doorstep
But by then, I will be long gone
