it's about impressing people

Summer is actually coming to an end, and I don't want to believe it. Seeing Daisy is all i'm looking forward to. Daisy is Mattie's older sister, we were introduced at Mattie's party last year. We were the only two who wanted bacon on the pizza and Dr.Pepper. Daisy is really good at creating hype, she is someone who continuously carries me out of a bad mood. I was talking to her earlier when she invited me over to her house for dinner. I couldn't wait to see her! I sprung to my feet, and got dressed.

I can act a little girlie at times. Typically the moments where I have to go out and want to look my best. I spent most of my day changing into various ensembles. I wanted my style to be simple for the day, maybe black skinny jeans, a purple graphic tee, and low tops. As soon as I had the clothes laid out on the bed Daisy text-ed me a hilarious picture of Mattie blowing bubbles at the kitchen table. Mattie looked cuter than ever! for a teenager Mattie sure is childish. Receiving that image made me mad. From that second on everything began to connect like a tricky puzzle.

When things that are unpleasant unravel I tend to loose control. I tapped my finger on my upper lip and changed my clothes, now realizing that Mattie will be at this dinner. Mattie might not want to see me, so I have to look like a million dollars so he'll want to be near me. This dinner isn't about comfort, and fun anymore...it's about impressing people. Delia needs to know I can easily take what belongs to her. I'm different, but fabulous.
