heartbreak

heartbreak

A Story by briana

heartbreak exists at all ages and the bullshit excuse that you can't love someone as a teenager is a lie. It takes on different forms throughout life

At 6 you were upset about your favourite dolls being ruined by your sister despite the countless toys you've broken.

At 10 when your dog ran away and never returned home, you've never loved something more.

At 14 when you get your first c on a test and feel like you'll never make it anywhere. You can and you will.

At 16 when the boy you liked stops liking you and you think he's the love of youe life, he's not.

At 18 when you graduate and go your seperate ways, everything you know is about to change

At 20 when it's time to leave your family home and you cry the whole car ride to your new house.

When you're 50 and your youngest child is getting married. She's happy and so are you. It's just hard to believe that you've lived an entire life already and hers has just begun. You're scared of missing it

At 80 when you re-live your life and realise how special and important heartbreak became because now you're 80 and your life couldn't have been better.

Heart break exists forever, you have to look for it and appreciate it, without heartbreak you wouldn't be the person you are today
