The wishing seedA Poem by B. LapinskiIf you ever stood still with the ground pressed to your bare feet the grass in all it's coolness on a day that seems limitless That is but a small touch of love The way she makes me feel her hair like the earth creates all beauty creates landscapes from her lips to her torso where the photographs annoint truth and burden and can silence the rumbling storms of sky The world can pull you apart as the ocean does to sand to change footprints left behind to make them disappear so you may walk again where footprints have been made and washed away Love is the tide pulling us in all directions with a question of where will we end up how will we be mended together and what footprints will we hold Love is that seed floating by on a warm summer night that is caught and then wished apon This is what she has done me I hold her in my hand wishing over and over again that she will not be tempted.. to drift away only to be caught again © 2008 B.
